SIUD Library Services
·Reference Service: Library Reference Service assists users in locating information and resources. Librarians are available to help with queries, guide users to appropriate materials, and provide research assistance.
·User Orientation/Information Literacy: SIUD librarian involves educating users on how to effectively use the library's resources. Orientation sessions and information literacy programs are conducted to teach users how to locate, evaluate, and use information efficiently and ethically.
·E-Library Service: SIUD Library provides access to digital resources, including e-books, online journals, databases, and other electronic materials. It ensures that users can access information anytime and anywhere through the library's online platforms.
·Circulation Service: SIUD Library manages the lending and returning of library materials. This includes checking out books, renewing items, and handling reserves and holds. The service ensures that resources are available and accessible to all users.
·Current Awareness Service: keeps users informed about new developments and additions to the library’s collection. It includes alerts, newsletters, and updates about new books, journals, research papers, and other relevant resources.
·Interlibrary Loans: The Interlibrary Loan service allows users to borrow books and other materials from other libraries. This service expands the range of resources available to users by facilitating access to items not owned by the home library.
·Softcopy of Syllabus: SIUD Library provides softcopies of syllabi for various courses. This service ensures that students have easy access to the required course outlines and reading lists, aiding in their academic planning and study.
·Textbooks Arrangements: The Textbooks Arrangement service ensures that all required and recommended textbooks are available for students. This includes acquiring, organizing, and managing the textbook collection to support the curriculum needs.
