The present and future of mankind and the historic role played by the Muslims in the development ofculture and building up a flourishing civilization. This is a topic important enough to receive the attention of an academic body instead of being given thought by a single individual.<br/><br/>In its depth and scope it can compare with any standard subject of thought pertaining to life of man. It covers an immense area in time and space, from the first century of Islamic era to this day and from one corner of the world to the other, In its immanence, it encompasses from creed to morals and behaviour, individual as well as social, and linked with diverse phenomena of life like law, politics, international relations. arts. letters, poetics, architecture, cultural refinement etc.<br/><br/>It is well-nigh impossible to enumerate the influence exerted by Islam in different fields and on different nations and countries. Only an attempt can be made to describe these in a few spheres where they have played a conspicuous role in the reformation, guidance and progress of humanity towards a better and healthier existence in contradistinction to the norms adopted normally by the Muslims during the period of their decadence.<br/><br/>These universal gifts of Islam have been presented in this study under ten headings.<br/><br/>1.Clear and distinct faith in the Oneness of God.<br/><br/>2.Concept of human unity and equality.<br/><br/>3.Proclamation of human dignity.<br/><br/>4.Raising the position of women and restoration of rights.<br/><br/>5.Infusing hope and confidence in man.<br/><br/>6.Unification of spirit and matter: truce between the two.<br/><br/>7.Alliance between religion and knowledge.<br/><br/>8.Intellectual pursuit in religious matters.<br/><br/>9.Promotion of morality and justice: a duty enjoined on Muslims.<br/><br/>10. Universal creed and culture.
